Colbra I will Straighten the Interdiction on Illicit Flights in the Border Zone Colombia - Brazil Closed the Pass to Illegal Flights

The air interdiction is a mission of the world air forces, that with the exercise done by Brazil and Colombia in development of the Operation Colbra I in the airports of Leticia and San Gabriel de Cachoeira, straighten to denies the entrance to illegal signatures, not only in the air spaces of both countries, but also in the border zone.

(PRWEB) June 2, 2005 -- The ones that are part of the specialty of the Colombian Air force Air Defense, also have clear the intention of our aircrafts is not to destroy none identify aircrafts, on the contrary the objective is to take them to a secure place with the purpose to put them at orders of the competent authorities.

Due to it when the advance control posts and the center of command and control of the Air Force CCOFA, where are officers and enlisted in air surveillance working day and night arrives the information of military and civilian radars about the irregular flight, is informed to the supervisor so he will verify with the different organisms if the aircraft is authorized.

In case not to be a legal flight, are launched aircrafts from the air force to approach to the aircraft that is in screen in the radar, with the purpose to make a visual identification, following with the procedure establish in the Colombian Routes manual.

This procedure indicates that after the visual identification of the aircraft, using the emergency channel is establish a communication with the aircraft with the purpose to know what happen and why are violating the national air space.

Only in case that they do not answer to the calls, are made dissuasive shoots, this procedure is repeated on many times, period during which are verified the indications on which would suppose that is a hostile aircraft, in other words, its register is false, flight on a none authorized zone, etc.

These phases in case not to dissuade the pilot of the illegal aircraft to land on a secure place, will cause the use of the arms against the aircraft, could seen too much, but, the experience and the skills of the air force permit to execute them with promptness, without use the indebt use of the arms.

These kind of missions are often done by the Colombian Air Force, will straighten the joint work that is executed with the Brazilian Air Force, which objective is only one: the definitive closure of the illicit flights in our air space, used most of the times for the drugs and arms traffic, support of the narco-terrorism and the illegal armed groups that bleed Colombia.
