Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 28, 2009 -- Leading the way to provide quality services for older Canadians, Manson Slik & Barry Gordon of Gordon's Estate Services (http://www.gordonsestateservices.com), located in Kingston, ON, announce an international partnership with the Senior Transition Society of North America to support seniors as they move or downsize their homes.

Gordon's Estate Services has committed their highly qualified Transition Services team to help educate and develop a secure and Certified network of Canadian resources dedicated to assisting seniors and their families with late life home transitions.

Long time advocates for seniors in the area of senior moving and relocation, Gordon's Estate Services was established in 1957 and re-incorporated in 2005 as an integrated real estate and transition solutions company, joining senior real estate, auctions / estate sales, appraisals, right sizing, age in place and senior transition services under a single roof. Slik and Gordon are already seasoned adult educators having taught thousands of students in Canada and the USA in the fields of real estate, estate settlement and personal property appraisal.

Within the Senior Living Network, Gordon's will educate and mentor residential service providers such as movers, auctioneers, organizers, move managers, Realtors, senior housing and home care professionals. Members of the network will complete over 20 hours of Canadian focused education to help providers understand the high touch, high harm aspects of working with seniors. Graduates of the program, who submit to a security screening, provide proof of insurance and pass an examination will receive the Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist (CRTS)™ credential.

Currently there are hundreds of Certified Transition Specialists (http://www.moveseniors.com/CRTS.htm) operating in the United States and Canada. These professionals provide a "team approach" to help seniors and their families navigate the often overwhelming task of moving from a long time family home to a smaller home, or retirement or nursing residence. Transition services typically include planning services, home preparation and sale, move management, managing the sale and/or disposition of extra assets, packing, unpacking and resettlement. Prices for services can range widely depending on the scope of the project, yet are tailored to meet each client's budget and timetable.

Senior Transition education sessions are currently scheduled for Kingston, Ontario, July 20 to 23, Toronto, Ontario, September 2009 and Calgary, Alberta, November 2009.
