A Powerful Story will Not be Ignored Annual Chistell contest encourages writers to connect to the source that gives all living beings creative expression. Poems and short stories penned by writers from around the globe were submitted to the contest. Aim of the competition is to encourage literacy, education and strong story telling skills. To enjoy and benefit from stories like Star Wars, The Joy Luck Club and Spiral, it is necessary to encourage new writers to delve deep within and connect to the source that gives all living beings creative expression. First Place winner in this years short story category is Brenda Owen of Amarillo, Texas; Brendas winning short story is titled A Tale To Tell". Second Place short story winner is Autumn Conley of Springfield, Ohio; Autumns winning short story is titled The Chase".
Winner in the poetry category is Candy Killion of Davie, Florida; Candys winning poem is titled Urban Renewal, Newark". Second Place poetry winner is Thomas Kemp of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Thomas winning poem is untitled.
The Annual Chistell Writing Contest is open to the public. There is no reading fee.
