Canadian Idol Finalist Sarah Loverock to Sing on the America's Hot Musician Winner's Recording

Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 30, 2009-- Former Canadian Idol Finalist Sarah Loverock will lend her voice to the America's Hot Musician First Season Winner's Recording. The soulful vocalist, who appeared on season four of the show, will be recording a ballad entitled "The Dreamer" which is slated for release in the early fall of 2010.

America's Hot Musician (AHM) is an American Idol-like competition for strictly instrumental musicians, which aired its first season finals on Lifetime Real Women in July 2008. The program, produced by American Youth Symphony (AYS), seeks to promote instrumental musicians within the MTV/Hip Hop generation.

Realizing that many young listeners do not identify with instrumental musical stars as once was the case with greats such as Duke Ellington, AYS is seeking to re-introduce the concept of instrumental stars in youth culture by first pairing America's Hot Musician winner's with notable vocalists.

"We are very happy to have Sarah join us in this mission, not to mention that her soulful sound on the ballad being produced is gonna knock radio's sock's off", says AYS Artistic Director and AHM judge Gregory Charles Royal.

The song, "The Dreamer" is scheduled to feature Loverock and AHM Season One instrumental winners Bobby McManus- acoustic guitar, and Joe Lindner-one man band. Production will begin in Vancouver this summer and will be marketed under the Canadian MAPL system.

Royal says, "We will know our mission has become a success when we can once again hear teens arguing about who is the baddest drummer or what band had the tightest horn section at a show. There is so much musical talent in our communities but everyone cannot be a rapper or singer."

America's Hot Musician features as judges National Symphony Orchestra violinist Marissa Regni, ex-Kittie bassist and Canadian Talena Atfield, and former Duke Ellington Orchestra trombonist Gregory Charles Royal.
