Columnist Offers Free Article about Father's Day Health to the Media

Father's Day is also about Dad's Health. Give Dad a gift of health OR if you are a dad, be a great role model and get healthy. Free Article for Media use.

(PRWEB) June 5, 2005 -- Columnist, Michele Paiva, is hoping to get her column about Father's Day out to the media; and is doing so for free, because she see's the need to reach out to promote men's health; and what better time than upcoming Father's Day to do so.

"I lost my own father almost 15 years ago," said Paiva. "I can't spend Father's Day with him but I can honor him by offering a free article that will hopefully reach many, to promote men's health". Paiva states that it is often taboo for men to admit that they do not feel well, have symptoms or need to get checked.

"In our society, if a man is looking to be helped, he is deemed as being weak. Our society has conditioned many of us to see preventative health care for men as a joke. When you hear about men going to a doctor to get his prostate checked, you hear laughter and jokes. You just don't hear that kind of silly banter when a woman goes to her GYN. We need to change this attitude," said Paiva.

Paiva has a health and wellness background and has written countless articles and columns on the subject.

She if offering this article to free release to any publication that so chooses to use it. The article gives ideas for families to give their father, and for men to understand that there are ways to show themselves as a caring role model for their families by incorporating health into their lives.
