Contemporary Services Corporation Awarded Contract to Provide Security and Event Staffing Services for the University of Minnesota

Contemporary Services Corporation recently opened its newest branch office in Minneapolis upon being awarded the contract to provide security and event staffing services for the University of Minnesota at TCF Bank Stadium and other campus venues.

CSC will be providing services at TCF Bank Stadium and other campus venues under the direction of Scott Ellison, University of Minnesota's Associate Athletics Director, and Derek Hillestad, Director of Operations for TCF Bank Stadium.

University of Minnesota's new stadium will officially open on September 12th when the Gophers take on the United States Air Force Academy Falcons in their first home game of the 2009 season. The opening of TCF Bank Stadium will mark the culmination of a three-year construction project totaling more than $288 million and securely placing the stadium among the top in college venues. Part of a 75-acre campus expansion, TCF Bank Stadium has a seating capacity of 50,000 and maintains many of the original design elements from Memorial Stadium, the home of Gopher football until 1981. Constructed using more than 8,700 tons of recycled steel, the new stadium will house 37 suites, 57 loge boxes, and 250 indoor club seats.
