"Kid's Ticket In" Houston Children's Charity to Give Away Free Sports Tickets

MyTicketIn.com, a Houston-based leading provider of ticket services for sporting events, concerts and theatres, has announced a call for application for the launch of "Kid's Ticket In", a program that will donate professional sports event tickets to charities serving children in the Greater Houston area, announced Malcolm and Christy Robinson, co-founders of MyTicketIn.com.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 3, 2009 -- MyTicketIn.com, a Houston-based leading provider of ticket services for sporting events, concerts and theatres, has announced a call for application for the launch of "Kid's Ticket In", a program that will donate professional sports event tickets to charities serving children in the Greater Houston area, announced Malcolm and Christy Robinson, co-founders of MyTicketIn.com.

Inspired by TOMS Shoes' simple premise: "For every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need: One for One," MyTicketIn.com is leveraging the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good through the "Kid's Ticket In" program.

For each sports, theatre, or concert ticket purchased through MyTicketIn.com, "Kid's Ticket In" will provide one child with a ticket to a professional sports event in Houston. Chosen charities will receive a block of tickets to host several children served by the non-profit organization.

MyTicketIn.com is launching the program as part of the company's commitment to enrich the lives of underserved children in the city where the majority of its customers and employees live and work.

The program will promote a positive environment through sports to help children develop virtues and qualities that encourage them to deal effectively with tomorrow's challenges. Undoubtedly, the feel of a stadium full of cheering fans and a child's first sight of his or her favorite professional sports star will create a lifelong impression.

"We have a company and a program we believe in. These are simply luxuries that many of us take for granted. Our aim is to select as many charity partners as possible to help us distribute sports tickets - and give hope and inspiration -- to children who normally don't have the opportunity many of us do," said Malcolm Robinson.
