(PRWEB) June 8, 2005 -- The National Capital Region World Future Society (NatCapWFS) will host two unique futurist forecasting techniques events, a dinner lecture on the evening of June 16th and a half-day workshop on June 17th, 2005 with Mr. Joseph Tankersly, a futurist and Senior Show Writer for Walt Disney Imagineering. The techniques of story telling are as important to creating powerful futures oriented writing as any quantitative tool.

At our dinner event, Mr. Tankersley will talk about some of the key issues facing writers who need to communicate complex scenarios, outside-the-box, yet-unheard-of concepts, ideas, facts and visions. The more challenging the concept, the more important it is to understand and use the tools of good story telling.

Mr. Tankersley will present ten narrative techniques that will transform your strategic and futures related writing. At the half-day workshop on the following day, Mr. Tankersley will build on the information presented in the dinner presentation and drill down into the "How To" of effective strategic writing. In this four and a half hour workshop, specific story-telling techniques will be presented, discussed, and practiced. Attendees will come away from this experience with a toolkit they can use to enhance the clarity and power of their own writing.

Please join us for dinner June 16, 2005, from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the Embassy Suites, Friendship Heights, 4300 Military Road, Washington D.C.
