Ideal Living Magazine Home Opens For Tours Reynolds Plantation has partnered with Ideal Living magazine to introduce another "ultimate showhome" to its impressive roster of showcase residences. Greensboro, Ga. (Vocus) June 1, 2009-- Reynolds Plantation (http://www.reynoldsplantation.com/?utm_source=RP%2Blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=RP%2Blog) has partnered with Ideal Living (http://www.ideal-living.com/) magazine to introduce another "ultimate showhome" to its impressive roster of showcase residences. Ideal Living magazine opened it's first-ever showhome with a customized addition to the Signature Home Collection at Reynolds Plantation that is now open for tours.
"We choose Reynolds Plantation for the location of the Ideal Home because it is the premier resort and lifestyle amenity community, certainly in the south and perhaps in the country," said Dave Robertson, editor of Ideal Living magazine. "We hope the Ideal Home will embody everything that home means. We want people to walk in and think, 'This is a place where I could make memories.'"
The "Ideal Home" floor plan, designed and built by Linger Longer Homes (http://www.lingerlongerhomes.com/), is based on Reynolds Plantation's most popular Signature Home, the St. Claire. The 3-bedroom, 3½-bath home encompasses two levels, expanding to 3,400 square feet of luxurious and functional living space.
"We were able to take our homebuyers' favorite and most requested features and incorporate them into this exciting and new version of an already celebrated home plan," explains Linger Longer Homes' vice president, Tom Allhoff.
In addition to encompassing the most popular features requested by homebuyers, the "Ideal Home" incorporates the best of green building practices. The "Ideal Home" is an EarthCraft-certified home adhering to a stringent 150-point environmental scale developed by the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association. The EarthCraft certification requires strict attention to many "green" standards, including energy efficiency, building materials, indoor air quality, water quality and use, site planning and homebuyer education.
The Ideal Living magazine home, made possible through the support of Georgia Power and Weinberger's Furniture, is open for tours 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 12 - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
