FCI-BURNDY® Products Wins "Best Of Trade Show" Award at Windpower 2009 Conference and Exhibition

Award recognizes FCI-BURNDY's range of Renewable Energy Products on display at the show

(PRWEB) June 3, 2009 -- FCI-BURNDY® Products www.BURNDY.com, a leading manufacturer and provider of connector solutions to the industrial, energy, and application tooling industries, announces that the company has received a "Best of Trade Show Award" for the products and services it featured at WINDPOWER 2009 in Chicago, IL. FCI-BURNDY showcased a range of Renewable Energy Products (http://www.bestoftradeshow.com/windpower_2009.php), including products ideal for use in substations, collection systems, grounding and tower applications, and wind farm projects. These products included the BURNDYWeld® exothermic Grounding option, the HYGROUND® irreversible compression Grounding (http://www.bestoftradeshow.com/windpower_2009.php) system, and the Break Away HYLUG™ line of copper and aluminum Compression Terminals (http://www.bestoftradeshow.com/windpower_2009.php).

The Best of Trade Show Award is given only to companies that are leaders in their market. "We are pleased to receive an award honoring us as a leading supplier to the wind power industry," said Craig Lawson, renewable energy business development manager at FCI-BURNDY Products. "This award acknowledges our dedication to creating innovative, high-quality, value-added Renewable Energy Products."

The BURNDYWeld® exothermic Grounding option provides a simple, portable, and efficient method of welding copper to copper and other various materials without the use of an external power source. The resulting connection is a fusion or molecular weld of virtually pure copper. This is a field-friendly solution -- light, portable and requiring no outside power.

The HYGROUND® irreversible compression Grounding system is a safe, cost-effective and time-efficient Grounding method. HYGROUND is a complete system consisting of connectors for cross grid connections, taps, splices, cable to ground rod, ground plates, and terminations.

FCI-BURNDY®'s Break-Away HYLUG™ line of copper and aluminum Compression Terminals (types YBA, YBA-FX and YBA-A) provides maximum field flexibility by allowing the installer to easily convert a two-hole terminal to a one-hole terminal to suit the application. With a slotted second stud, the Break-Away line of Compression Terminals can conform to various bus bar dimensions. For additional flexibility, the Narrow Tongue design allows the terminal to fit into tight spaces.
