Thomas Tevana Hailed 'Next Big Thing' by Bibi Magazine

Leading South Asian magazine, Bibi, calls actor and singer Thomas Tevana 'The Next Big Thing' on the cover of their latest issue and 'Bollywood' edition.

(PRWEB) June 9, 2005 -- The leading South Asian magazine, Bibi, has called up and coming actor and singer Thomas Umer Tevana 'The Next Big Thing' on the cover of their latest issue and annual 'Bollywood' edition.

The actor has received critical acclaim for his performance in the newly released Bollywood film 'Jo Bole So Nihaal' and his work in the film was noted "stand-out" by ruling Bollywood online publication, Bollyvista, despite mixed reviews of the film.

At the second annual Fashion show organized by the magazine to celebrate South Asian style on Sunday night in New York, Tevana was escorted out on the runway by models with placards preceding his entry heralding his arrival onto the scene.

"It's a great honor," said the actor. "I'm still trying to get used to all the attention."

The show was covered by popular South Asian channels TV Asia and AVS amongst other media.

"He's one of those people who is proud to be South Asian and yet can play many nationalities because of his unconventional looks," commented an attendee. "Many westerners don't realize how diverse the Indian Subcontintent is."

Bibi magazine (www.bibimagazine.com), launched in 2000, is the first fashion and informational magazine geared toward the people of South Asia in America and focuses on selected South Asian subculture.

The actor, who recently returned from a promotional tour across the Middle East and South Asia, is next scheduled to start principal photography on two additional projects in the U.S., including the recently announced romantic comedy, "Access Denied," about an Indian-American doctor who falls for a soul searching girl from Bombay only to find themselves on a star-crossed trans-continental journey.
