Organized in 1950, MAPAÂs fifty-eight members included Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) producers and paving contractors and related industry materials, equipment and service providers. MPA was founded in 2000 and its thirteen members were located throughout the state.
The Officers and Directors of the Asphalt Pavement Association Of Michigan were elected as follows:
President  Keith Rose - Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc.
Vice President  Jim Klett - Michigan Paving & Materials Co.
Secretary/Treasurer - Fred Hillard, Ajax Paving Industries, Inc.

ÂBoth MPA and MAPA have shared a common goal of providing the highest quality paving materials to our customers, said APAM President Keith Rose. ÂThis merger has created a strong and focused association that will provide effective representation of MichiganÂs Hot Mix Asphalt Industry.Â
The producer members of APAM are responsible for the vast majority of the Hot Mix Asphalt used to build and maintain MichiganÂs roads, streets and parking facilities.
