Writing Emotion-Driven Fiction

Eric Witchey speaks about writing emotion-driven fiction for Willamette Writers on July 5th, in Portland, Oregon.

Portland, OR (PRWEB) June 11, 2005 -- Award-winning fiction writer Eric M. Witchey will be the speaker at the last Willamette Writers meeting before the August writers conference. Witchey will discuss the relationship between an authors intent, character emotion and reader response, exploring layers, techniques and delivery, from his soon to be published Writers Digest article, For Emotion-Driven Fiction, Call ED ACE."

Witcheys fiction has appeared nationally and internationally in anthologies and magazines, and his first novel, Fighting Mothers Echo, will soon be published in Poland. He has taught writing at several colleges universities and writers forums in the U.S. and is the president of Cyberscribe, Inc.

Witchey has won recognition from Writers of the Future, New Century Writers, ralan.com, and Writers Digest. Witchey's how-to articles have sold to Writer's Digest Magazine, Writer's Northwest Magazine, and Northwest Ink Magazine.

Working as a communication consultant, creative coach, private tutor and course instructor has allowed Witchey to develop his fiction writing skills through daily practice.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2005 from 7 to 8 p.m. at The Old Church, 1422 SW 11th (at Clay) in downtown Portland. Socializing begins at 6:30.
