As the Independent Music Market Booms, Mergers are Almost Seen All Over Again In a move very similar to history of the 1980s, independent music labels have begun to merge to have more potency on the market. However, Paradice Music and Musical Chemist Publishing have taken a slightly different route. (PRWEB) June 12, 2005 -- Musical Chemist Publishing and Paradice Music were first seen in the same place a year and a half ago, in the Elite Veterans of Rock yahoo group. The Elite Veterans of Rock is a group of free agent musicians that shares knowledge, experience, and abilities in areas ranging from distribution, promotion, recording and collaboration.
Musical Chemist Publishing (BMI) was opened in 2002 by long time BMI affiliate Jimmy Caterine. Originally a home for Caterine and Sacred Rite band mate, Peter Crane's solo work, it has since taken on other artists. Jimmy Caterine has 25 years experience with BMI thru Spandimeve Music (BMI), which he co-owns with the other members of Sacred Rite, Peter Crane and Mark Kaleiwahea. Previously, Musical Chemist Publishing (BMI) has worked with such bands as Tragic Nancy and Bastard Stepchild. Currently, they are publishing new works from Caterine as well as Louis Lamp and Jordet.
Paradice Music, founded in March 2004 with its debut release, An Open Mind, is a label that currently carries the solo works of Louis Lamp. It is still establishing itself as a force in the music industry, though its network of music promotion is rapidly outstripping the labels current recording projects.
Musical Chemist Publishing and Paradice Music reached a publishing agreement for An Open Mind in early May of 2005, though a multi-faceted relationship is developing itself between the two labels. Coined an alliance" by Louis Lamp, the agreements reached, as well as others on the horizon does not constitute a business merger.
Aside from publishing and getting a strong arm when dealing with BMI (Broadcast Musicians Incorporated), other cooperative efforts have been seen in news syndication, promotion and exposure for all involved.
Jimmy Caterine is a veteran rock musician from Phoenix, AZ. He has participated and led bands such as Sacred Rite and Tragic Nancy, and still records today, in addition to running Musical Chemist Publishing.
Louis Lamp is the owner and operator of Paradice Net, a creative arts musical portal that is growing on the Internet. A soldier in the US Army and composer of relaxing music, he has a habit of living dichotomy. He also owns and operates other facets on the Paradice Net website, to include his music label, Paradice Music.
