June is Pride Month in New York City and Billboard hit singer/songwriter amberRose Marie is tapped to bring on the beatz with her popular new song "Wanna Be A DJ", with 92.3 NOW FM, the official radio partner and Q S.I.N.Y. Staten Island, New York (PRWEB) June 6, 2009 -- June can only mean Pride month in New York City is upon us and with a festive feeling of unity in the air, Staten Island kicks off the month of celebratory events with the Staten Island Pride Parade & Festival billed by organizers as the"Greatest Show On Earth"! On Saturday, June 6th from 12 noon until 5 pm, the celebration is in full swing with Catz Entertainment recording artist, amberRose Marie bringing on her Billboard dance club hits "Destiny" and a new one, "Wanna Be A DJ" with New York City's hot new radio station, 92.3 NOW FM and weekend on-air jock, DJ Slim. Joining Slim is 92.3 NOW Entourage bringing on the beatz and the goodies! The Staten Island Pride Parade in its 5th year is sponsored by Community Health Action Staten Island, The LGBT Center of Staten Island, and community leaders and local business. The day includes LIVE entertainment, food, GLBT community tables and more. Organizers have designed this year to celebrate Gay Pride but also to invite those who live, work and visit New York, into the Borough for the fun annual celebration for Gay Lesbian Bi-sexual, Transgendered and those in solidarity. Ron B., Paul Case and Shawn Hollenbach co-host and over 20 artists are scheduled to perform. amberRose Marie's performance features winners of the Center Idol singing contest, and dancers from the Idol competition will join celebrity Tina Turner impersonator Ron B. Other performers include Josh Zuckerman, Staten Island Steppers and many more!

The Parade steps off at Noon from the St. George Municipal Parking Lot, Central Avenue at Slosson Terrace between Hyatt Street and Victory Blvd. The one and a half mile Pride Parade ends up at the Cromwell Recreation Center at Pier 6 at the foot of Hannah Street. LIVE Entertainment immediately follows with amberRose Marie's performance at 1:30 pm.
