30th Anniversary Party, Part II, July 29, 2005 Join us as we celebrate-for the second time this year!-30 years of serious fun in, on, under and above the water at Bitter End. The earliest guests at Bitter End were all intrepid adventurers who visited this last island outpost before the open waters of the Atlantic by boat, and this year would not be complete without a party including our still-intrepid boat visitors that have ventured to the Bitter End every summer for many years.
There will be live music, special activities, fabulous food and Bitter Ends own 16 Sounders and everyone is invited to help us toast the next 30 years!
CaribKiteboarding Week, June 25-July 2, 2005 Learn to kiteboard from the best at Bitter End! CaribKiteboarding offers lessons for entry level riders as well as experienced riders looking to improve their skills. CaribKiteboarding has developed an instruction method that maximizes students time on the water, increases safety and gets students up and riding as soon as possible, making for a more effective learning experience. All kite school equipment is the latest in design and technology, and customized specifically for CaribKiteboarding. They have a fleet of three specialized boats - two sixteen foot inflatable boats and a twenty three foot center console - for lessons and transporting guests and equipment. CaribKiteboarding uses Slingshot equipment exclusively and kiteboarding gear is available for sale and rent.
Riders can receive lessons from instructors on one of our beautiful beaches, or from one of the boats in their fleet. Trips to the kiter-friendly beaches of other nearby islands are also available. And of course, CaribKiteboarding is a PASA (Professional Air Sports Association) certified kiteboarding school.
Sail Caribbean Summer Sailabration Week, August 6-13, 2005 Summer camps are over, school has yet to begin. Its time for the annual family vacation, but what to do? Bitter End Yacht Club announces the family Sail Caribbean Summer Sailabration Week. Similar to the popular Thanksgiving Sail Caribbean Family Week, the Summer Sailabration will feature childrens events, and parent-child events, as well as skill-specific training, keelboat and dinghy sailing instruction. There will also be child and family-friendly snorkel excursions, and group scuba dives. Shoreside, there will be beach games and family-crew dinners." The highlight of the week will be the 2nd Annual North Sound Laser Relay Rally-a point-to-point Laser rally that tests more than just sailing acumen. All ages are invited to participate.
The ever-popular Sail Caribbean instructional fun team will be on site to supplement the Bitter End Yacht Clubs team of highly skilled watersports staff. In the evenings, the kids can enjoy age-appropriate movies shown in the Sand Palace, the resorts outdoor movie theater. All of these activities and programs are special additions to the regular Family Admirals Package amenities and inclusions, but are included in the vacation price.
Families traveling during the Summer Sailabration (as well as the entire summer) can take advantage of the Admirals Family Package, which, in addition to great rates on additional family rooms, continues to invite children 5 years old and under to stay free when sharing a room with parents. Bring the whole family crew!
Kids Camp at Bitter End, All Summer Long While older kids are off at summer camps of their own, such as the Sail Caribbean summer programs in the BVI, Bitter End offers Kids Camp for kids ages 5-12. Kids Camp will introduce children to the basics of a variety of watersports, including sailing, windsurfing and snorkeling, plus the pure fun of water toys such as banana boats, tubes and knee boards. There will also be shoreside activities, such as arts and crafts, story time, nature walks, and special evening activities just for kids. While you take your own sailing lesson, catch some air during a morning kiteboarding session, or just relax by the sea, your child can be mastering a new skill in a fun and easygoing setting. Of course, kids are welcome to join you on excursions and adventures - Bitter End is all inclusive. For kids ages 12-17, there is the Junior Watersports Program where they take part in watersports and shoreside activities that are appropriate for their age group and skill levels. All of this is in addition to the standard Admirals Family Package inclusions.
So dont let summer pass you buy without experiencing the ultimate Caribbean Bitter End summer! For more information on these fun activities and/or programs, please visit us online at www.beyc.com or call (284) 494.2746.
