Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) June 12, 2009 -- InventHelp®, America's leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Albuquerque, N.M., has designed a device that would provide a room air conditioner with increased stability and protection. This invention is patented and a prototype is available.

The "Window Boot" would enable a homeowner to preserve full use of a room air conditioner or evaporative cooler in a window that has wrought iron security bars. The device is designed to maintain home security by eliminating the need to cut the bars in an effort to make room for the front face of the air conditioner. The "Window Boot" also would minimize or stop any air leakage around the edges of the unit, while maintaining the integrity of the bars. In addition, it would install quickly and easily and could be ideal for use by households that may be at an increased risk for burglaries.

The "Window Boot" would consist of a plastic, box-shaped assembly that would fit into the opening of a window. The boot is designed to be slightly smaller than the window opening to allow for "press fit" installation and would feature a sealing membrane around the outer edges and a curved top "lip" to prevent moisture intrusion. To install, the user would insert the boot into the window so that the front face is resting against the bars, could press the boot into place and then would install the air conditioner into the boot. The "Window Boot" would hold the air conditioner in place, eliminating the need to cut the security bars in an effort to make the unit fit within the window.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
