Scala Partner Vanten Wins PREAWARD at Digital Signage Japan 2009

Vanten wins PREAWARD for its innovative content "Yodobi Time Announce."

Chiba, Japan (PRWEB) June 13, 2009 -- On the first day of the Digital Signage Japan 2009 Show (June 10-June 12) held in Makuhari Messe (Chiba, Japan), the Digital Signage Consortium announced that Scala (www.scala.com) partner Vanten was awarded a PREAWARD for its innovative content "Yodobi Time Announce."

During the remainder of Digital Signage Japan (http://www.cmptech.jp/dsj/), Scala hosted a number of its partners in its booth showcasing advanced integrated digital signage systems, including:

Alpha Japan: Alpha Japan showcased its line of products built around the Scala platform, including Primix EC Service to connect digital signage with real online mobile purchases, Primix Voice Deliver for automated Text-To-Speech delivery of digital signage content and Primix Station, the Scala-enabled copy machine.

Hitachi: Bringing the retail world to digital signage instead of the other way around, Hitachi showcased its win of its largest retail project, AEON superstores. It also exhibited a number of other design wins such as the electronic poster displays built on the Mediaspace platform using Scala as its engine.

Vanten: After installing more than twenty sets of Scala players on Samsung all-in-one displays throughout the show floor to guide visitors around the event, Vanten also gained attention for its four-meter LED display from Lighthouse with content updated by a mail-to-digital signage integration using the EngageMedia platform built on top of Scala.

UNISYS: UNISYS showcased the holographic display Holo.

Advantech also demonstrated its new line of digital signage hardware in Scala's booth, including a number of media players using IADEA's Scala-enabled firmware. Macnica Networks demonstrated the Tru-media line of audience measurement systems.

Finally, at the top of each hour, the Scala team demonstrated its latest release features on a large Samsung thin-bezel video wall powered by the latest Wincomm digital signage engine (WPE-793).

Attendees also saw Scala systems running at Saika-for-Scala on partner NGC's booth, an enhanced reality system built specifically with Scala in mind. Scala also ran the content behind the displays on Chilintech's booth.
