Madeleine's Place Summer House Concert Opens With Katie Gill June 28

Concerts Fourth Sunday of Each Month

Corrales, NM (PRWEB) June 18, 2009 -- Katie Gill kicks off the Madeleine's Place summer concert series on Sunday, June 28. Doors open at 12:30pm to allow fans to picnic prior to the 2:30 pm concert start. Lights refreshments are available for purchase. Admission is $15 and reservations are requested. Jim Jones will be the summer series' second performer on July 26. Madeleine's Place is sponsoring this series to provide a comfortable, affordable concert-type venue where area residents can hear outstanding local musicians performing folk, western and light rock.

Gill grew up in Roswell, NM and has lived in Albuquerque for the past twenty- four years, performing in hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, craft fairs, private parties, etc. Her unique and versatile voice spans pop, country, rock, and jazz. She works as a soloist, accompanying herself on the guitar, as well as being involved in numerous groups and bands playing a variety of genres. She was the voice of 101.3 The Range country station, singing the station ID. Her present group, The Buckarettes, has been heard around the world on radio stations located in Germany, France, England, Australia and Japan along with our United States.
