Celebrities Support Autism Organizations

Celebrities come out to autism conference and poker tournament to help organizations raise money for autism programs.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) June 24, 2009 -- A conference on autism will be held this weekend at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort and Casino in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The conference will educate families and physicians on the medical treatments which are helping children improve. Approximately 300 physicians and parents are expected to attend the 3rd annual conference titled: From Roadblocks to Recovery. (http://www.fromroadblockstorecovery.com)

The conference includes some of the top physicians in alternative medicine. Speakers include physicians such as; Joe Mercola, DO, Lee Cowden, MD, Dietrich Klinghardt, MD and more.

The conference includes a charity poker tournament on Saturday, June 27th titled: "Texas Hold'em Show Down for Autism" (http://www.lymeinducedautism.com/texasholdemshowdown.html). TV watchers will enjoy meeting some of the celebrities that are scheduled to attend. Conference coordinator Tami Duncan states, "We are having some great celebrities join us, come on down and meet the stars, have a great time and raise money for charity".

The celebrities scheduled to attend are Patrika Darbo, from Days of Our Lives, Kevin Dobson from Days of Our Lives, Chris Rich from the hit TV show Reba and Daniel McVicar from Bold and the Beautiful. The celebrities are also scheduled to meet and mingle with parents of children with autism at the Friday dinner event.

"It promises to be an incredible weekend with first class education and first class fun", states Linda Heming from CHOICE. "All proceeds go directly towards autism education, advocacy and parent support through the LIA Foundation and CHOICE".

The conference is being held Thursday, June 25 - 28th. Registration can be made at the door. To attend the poker tournament, players can sign up at the Fort McDowell Casino on the same property.
