ZZYZX SnapJack Inc. Reinvents Music's Magnetism SnapJack Instrument Cables are First to Utilize Magnetic Jack Technology, Gaining a Worldwide Following and a Famous Customer Base La Mirada, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) June 25, 2009 -- At the January 2009 NAMM® (www.namm.org/thenammshow) music industry trade show, held each year in Anaheim, CA, crowds passing by the ZZYZX SnapJack booth were able to catch long-time Guns N' Roses band member Dizzy Reed, and Quiet Riot's Alex Grossi, praising their newest must-have music tools: ZZYZX SnapJack cables (www.zzyzxsnapjack.com). In true rock fashion, Dizzy emphatically reported, "I love SnapJack cables…they rule!"
In early 2008, ZZYZX SnapJack Inc. launched their first lines of truly revolutionary and innovative products, comprised of various instrument and pedal board cables. The patented SnapJack cable uses Optical Fiber Cable (OFC), high-quality helical braided shield cables, and neodymium magnets with gold-plated contacts - in layman's terms, they are instrument and pedal board cables with high tensile strength, delivering sound quality through the cables' magnetic contacts that rivals that of traditional, non-magnetic instrument cables.
But in addition to noise-free, dynamic sound, SnapJack's magnetic contact points allow for quick detachment when the cable is subjected to extensive tension, reducing the risk of personal injury and damage to guitars, cables, amplifiers or other music equipment. The jacks are designed to hold tight when needed, but release when tugged in a certain, precarious direction. Since cables can be tripping hazards on stage or in the studio, this feature comes highly praised by seasoned music veterans and awkward teens, alike.
The SnapJack is also free of obnoxious popping or screeching noises when plugging or unplugging the cable, while an instrument is attached to a live amplifier. This feature affords musicians a quick transition when they need to switch between instruments or when they need to reconfigure their pedal boards, during live performances. And by utilizing the extra SnapJack jack tips that can be left in an instrument when it is not in use, multiple players are able to switch instruments multiple times, with no hassle, no popping sounds, and virtually no instrumental downtime.
"Through precision engineering and manufacturing techniques, we've finally managed to eliminate that dreaded popping noise when the jack is pulled," said ZZYZX SnapJack President and COO, Simon Yi. The SnapJack product utilizes a two-part jack design; each half has a magnet that corresponds to the other piece. When a musician wants to plug into their amp, the magnets just snap together without that annoying pop.
Although ZZYZX SnapJack has been in business for about a year and a half, they currently have NO competitors. SnapJack is the only music cable product on the market with this magnetic attachment technology, and today, ZZYZX SnapJack products are distributed in more than 45 countries. SnapJack was recognized as "Best In Show" and the winner of the "Gotta Stock It" category at one of the music industry's largest trade shows, the afore-mentioned NAMM, the International Music Products Association. The products have also been featured and lauded at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany.
ZZYZX SnapJack has quickly become a go-to equipment piece for serious musicians everywhere, and has garnered the endorsement of more than 50 top artists and bands of all musical genres, such as Motörhead's Phil Campbell, Dweezil Zappa, and of course, Dizzy Reed from Guns N' Roses and Quiet Riot's Alex Grossi. One of the newest ZZYZX SnapJack endorsees is the internationally famous, Grammy award-winning Reggae band, "Steel Pulse".
Quiet Riot's Alex Grossi furthered Dizzy Reed's train of thought at January's NAMM show, also commenting on the SnapJack products: "They really changed the way I play guitar. With SnapJack, I can have three guitars and one cable. They're really easy, and they can take a beating…I've been touring with them for about a year now, and I've not broken one - and I break a lot of stuff!"
Alex continued, "The best thing about a cable is when you don't even know it's there, and I love [SnapJack for that - they're great! We are very proud [to support the company."
In addition to the standard guitar and pedal board cables, one of the first SnapJack product lines was their Magnum Series (www.zzyzxsnapjack.com/magnum.html), which features rock-themed artistic designs sculpted onto the jack component. This line also features a self-locking system, so that when it is of utmost importance, the two jack parts will absolutely not separate until un-locked by the user.
Regarding SnapJack's Magnum Series product line, Alex added, "The Magnum Series is the first guitar cable to become a fashion accessory - everyone has cool straps or cool-looking guitars, [SnapJack makes cool-looking cables - now that's rock and roll."
ZZYZX SnapJack regularly supports and sponsors emerging music and artists, and was recently one of the premier sponsors of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show (www.goldengodsawards.com), held in Los Angeles in April 2009. Some of the top sponsors included Monster Energy, MTV2, MySpace Music, Guitar World Magazine, Roadrunner Records, LA Weekly, Affliction Clothing, among others. ZZYZX SnapJack will also be hosting a national battle of the bands contest in 2010, with an ultimate prize of a record label deal; more details TBA.
ZZYZX SnapJack will be releasing seven or eight new products in the coming months.
