Completely restored and remastered utilizing MFSLs proprietary GAIN 2 (Greater Ambient Information Network) technology, the album was originally recorded between August and October of 1967 and offers 19 eclectic vignettes encompassing avant garde, doo-wop, pop and Zappas trademark sarcasm.

Track highlights include: "What's The Ugliest Part Of Your Body," "Bow Tie Daddy," and "The Idiot Bastard Son".

The musical ensemble consists of Frank Zappa (vocals, guitar, piano); Jimmy Carl Black (vocals, trumpet, drums); Roy Estrada (vocals, electric bass); Billy Mundi (vocals, drums); Ian Underwood (woodwinds, piano); Bunk Gardner (woodwinds); Euclid James "Motorhead" Sherwood (soprano & baritone saxophones); Suzy Creamcheese, and Dick Barber. Additional performers include Gary Kellgren and Eric Clapton.
