Wakefield, MA (PRWEB) June 25, 2009 -- XyEnterprise, a leading developer of award-winning XML component content management and multi-channel delivery solutions, today announced it is now delivering its flagship products, Contenta 4.1 and Contenta DITA 1.7, with enhanced features to give users greater control and flexibility in managing technical content. These enhancements reflect XyEnterprise's commitment to address the changing needs of its global customer base and more closely align with enterprise corporate IT strategies.
In Contenta DITA 1.7, users will find full support of nested maps, enhanced DITA author and collaboration support, an improved compare tool, and added translation capabilities to support DITA 1.1 bookmap content. Contenta DITA 1.7's nested maps are DITA maps that point to other maps, as well as topics. This enhancement supports the complex content structures typically found in technical documentation.
Because of its tight integration with JustSystems' XMetaL Author Enterprise 5.5 and XMetaL Reviewer 5.5, Contenta DITA 1.7 provides a seamless, end-to-end DITA solution, including authoring, collaboration, content management and publishing, The addition of a compare tool for distributed content contributors allows editors and managers to quickly identify the content that has changed and determine which edits are appropriate to keep. The combination of these tools creates a powerful solution for managing technical and commercial information.
"The experience, leadership, and innovation that XyEnterprise brings to the table make them a trusted strategic partner," said Aaron Deitcher, vice president and general manager, JustSystems Canada. "By combining the powerful features of XMetaL Author and Reviewer with Contenta's award-winning, scalable content management solution, our customers have been able to realize productivity gains almost immediately," Deitcher said.
In addition to Contenta DITA 1.7, XyEnterprise also introduced an update to Contenta. The 4.1 release of Contenta brings improved levels of platform support, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3, Oracle Database 10g2 and Microsoft Windows SQL Server 2005. Because these platforms are the standard for many organizations, XyEnterprise recognizes the critical importance of staying current with new releases.
