Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 25, 2009 -- Today, The Social Security Institute (SSI) announces the launch of the National ObamaCare Opt Out (NOOO!) Registry a patient-centered movement designed to allow individuals to demand that Congress not force them to join a national healthcare system, nor to purchase healthcare coverage against their will. This online platform, located at http://www.patientoptout.com, is modeled after the National Do Not Call Registry, and will allow individuals to sign up on the National ObamaCare Opt Out Registry.

SSI president Lawrence A. Hunter said, "We have created this Web 2.0 platform to allow people across the country to express their disapproval of President Obama's decision to embrace an individual mandate that would prevent anyone from opting out of mandatory health coverage under his national healthcare system. This decision is a complete reversal from what he said during the campaign in criticizing Hillary Clinton's healthcare reform proposal. It is now crystal clear that 'ObamaCare' has morphed into 'HillaryCare' version 2.0, complete with huge deficits, rationing treatment and coercive mandates."

"We intend to give the National ObamaCare Opt Out platform away free to any organization that desires to put it on their web site. We will help organizations reach out to their members and provide them an opportunity to channel their anger and disapproval at Obama's flip flop, an un-American exercise of raw power by the federal government to dragoon everyone into a mandatory federal healthcare program. When I heard the news that President Obama had reneged on his stated opposition to an individual mandate, I thought immediately of the New York Post headline after President George Herbert Walker Bush reneged on his no-new-taxes pledge: 'Read My Lips: I Lied.'"

President Obama told ABC News that, "We have to have healthy people not opt out of the system." According to Hunter, "The NOOO! Registry is our way of saying, 'NO Mr. President, enough is enough. You will not takeover our healthcare too.'"

Architect of the National ObamaCare Opt Out movement, Political Media Inc. president Larry Ward says the national opt out movement has already received widespread attention all over the U.S. "We wanted to create a voice for individual liberty. The NOOO! Registry pits the government mandate against the individual American."

Ward says that his idea is not confined to conservative websites and bloggers. "The response to the idea of a national opt out plan has been overwhelming, and we've received support from people on both sides of the political spectrum. In my opinion, it's not an issue of right or left, it's a matter of right or wrong."
