Sunbanks Resort Launches Website & Blog in Time for Vacation Season The Pacific Northwest is famous for soggy weather, coffee, computer giants and Sasquatch. But beyond the daily drink and the missing link is the Cascade Mountain range and behind it is Sunbanks Resorts, a new vacation spot sitting right on Banks Lake. A website showcasing the resort was launched recently. Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) June 27, 2009 -- As the summer season looms around the corner, people are starting to plan out their vacations. For many people, Washington's main tourist destination is Seattle and while the Emerald City has its charm, the real Washington lies on the opposite side of what natives refer to as the Cascade Curtain.
Beyond the Cascade Mountains lies Central and Eastern Washington and in that region is the Sunbanks Lake Resorts, a popular destination spot that lies within the Columbia Basin on Banks Lake, three miles from the Grand Coulee dam.
"The land itself is unique," says Patrick Welton, the president of Sunbanks Ltd. "It has water on all three sides, not unlike a peninsula. It's the perfect resort destination."
According to Welton, Sunbanks Resort is comfortable lodging in its own right.
People who are interested in viewing the resort can log onto its official website, www.SunbanksResort.com, which launched in April 2009. The site has every possible thing that a vacationer is looking for, from accommodations, a list of local entertainment to dining to maps to the history of the Banks Lake.
Banks Lake, which is 30 miles long, is a long sought after destination for many vacationers, oftentimes, the water reaches a 75 degree (Fahrenheit) average in the summer and is touted as the largest and warmest lake in Washington, which also happens to compliment the 300 days of sunshine the Columbia Basin enjoys.
Additionally, Banks Lake is now in the annals of United States history as being a part of the 600-mile Ice Age Flood Trail. A major public lands bill, recently signed by President Barack Obama, will elaborate on this Eastern Washington resort's history further.
One of the regions biggest attractions, however, is the Grand Coulee Dam, the largest electric power producing facility in the United States. It's also one of the leading tourist destinations in the entire state of Washington.
These facts are some of the information that will also appear on the Sunbanks Resort's official blog, www.SundbanksResortBlog.com.
"There's a wonderful experience of being here with family, friends and enjoying the warm weather that we can convey through the blog," said Welton. "It will be a way for us to talk about the familial atmosphere."
While some people may think that the Seattle is the cultural hub of Washington, behind the most beautiful mountain range in the United States is also most breathtaking resort that the world should be aware of.
About the Company: Sunbanks Resort is a premium resort located in Eastern Washington. Sandy McInnis, the general managers, says that she takes pride in her employees, who go above and beyond to take care of the customers.
