London, UK (PRWEB) July 7, 2005 -- iLearn. To today announces a 200k co-financed project. In partnership with the European Social Fund, the Learning & Skills Council and AuctionAssist the aim is to help businesses in the Hospitality and Tourism sector in the West Midlands capitalise on the eTourism revolution.
Most people now prefer to book and research their trips in advance of their holiday using the Internet. This project helps businesses in the hospitality and tourism sector capitalise on eTourism by providing the sector with the necessary skills and assistance to drive more visitors to the West Midlands region; manage resources more effectively and sell their services both nationally and internationally, thus generating greater profits for the business.
Participating businesses will receive fully-subsidised management training; eBusiness consultancy; eCommerce development and one-to-one support to kick start their online sales to a national and international audience, using eBays worldwide marketplace.
At the end of the project, businesses will have trained staff with a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification, which enables them to manage change and support business growth more effectively. Businesses will also get a website (or improvements to their existing website) that is ecommerce-enabled.
We expect businesses to be selling nationally and internationally within weeks of joining the project. eBay currently has over 150 million users around the world, its platform is ideal for developing businesses in the hospitality and tourism sector and to achieve greater yield management and therefore increased profits." commented Sieng Van Tran, Chief Executive Officer.
The project is free to small businesses in the Hospitality & Tourism sector. Space is limited to the first 50 companies in the WestMidlands area, with 50% of places earmarkered for female beneficiaries. Businesses wishing to participate should contact the project manager Robert Smyth on 0845 126 0802 or visit http://www.iLearn.To/eTourism

About AuctionAssist AuctionAssist - a service that helps people and business to sell on eBay. eBay is the largest online auction website in the world with over 150 million customers worldwide. Although buying on eBay is very simple, selling has proved to be a big hurdle, with eBay reporting that 90% of customers have never sold an item using their service.
AuctionAssist works with eBay through its Trading Assistant program to take the pain out of selling unwanted goods. It will basically collect items that people want to sell; value, photograph and place items online; sell it to the buyer, packaging the goods and collecting payment. All the seller has to do is wait for the cheque...its as simple as that!
AuctionAssist is in the process of going public through a listing on the Pink Sheets in the US.
AuctionAssist is a trademark of Auction Assist Ltd. All other product and company names may be trademarks of their respective companies.
