Richard Petty 'Newsmaker' Guest On The Race Reporters Radio Show Wednesday, July 1, 7 P.M. EDT on PowerUp Motorsports Channel On the eve of his 72d birthday and the 25th anniversary of his historic 200th NASCAR Cup victory, Richard Petty will be Newsmaker of the Week on The Race Reporters radio show, Wednesday, July 1, 7 p.m. EDT, on http://www.PowerUpChannel.com. Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) June 30, 2009 On July 4, 1984, Petty edged Cale Yarborough at Daytona International Speedway for win No. 200. It's widely regarded as one of the most important days in NASCAR history: President Ronald Reagan gave the "start engine" command from Air Force One and was on hand to greet Petty after his victory. Just over a week ago, driver Kasey Kahne returned team owner Petty to victory lane in Sonoma, Calif.
