Free Educational Forum For Family Caregivers. Caring For Loved Ones With Dementia.

Free educational forum for family caregivers that addresses the informative topic of geriatric dementias will take place at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Mission Valley on July 28th.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 8, 2005 -- A Town Hall Forum titled, If It Is Not Alzheimers Disease. What Is It?" is being held Thursday, July 28, 2005 from 9 am to Noon at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Mission Valley.

This free educational forum for family caregivers will address the informative topic of geriatric dementias other than Alzheimers Disease. A panel that includes a Neurologist and Geriatric Psychiatrist will review the various forms of dementia such as: Vascular Dementia, Picks Disease, Huntingtons Disease, Cruetzfeldt-Jakob Disease, Lewy Bodies Dementia, Parkinsons Disease, and Metabolic Imbalances.

Health Care Groups ActivCare® - Residential Alzheimers care facilities and the George G. Glenner Alzheimers Family Centers, Inc. are hosting the event as the second in a series of free educational forums for family caregivers. In addition, the Glenner Center will be providing free adult day care during the event. Reservations are required. The forum will take place at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center at 1895 Camino del Rio South in San Diego, CA 92108 from 9:00am to Noon on Thursday, July 28th, 2006. Continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 am.
