Frederick "the Rev. Ike" Eikerenkoetter has been accused of sexual harassment by a former employee in Miami, Florida. The employee alleges that Rev. Ike forced him to perform oral sex on him on several occasions.

Miami, Florida June 30, 2005 -- Augusto Medina is suing Frederick "the Rev. Ike" Eikerenkoetter of sexual abuse. The lawsuit is filed in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court, Case No. 05-06656 CA 22, and alleges that Rev. Ike forced Medina to fondle him on several occasions and to perform oral sex on him. The allegations of the suit are similar to those in a 1995 sexual harassment suit against the Rev. Ike that was filed by his former personal assistant in New York.

Medinas attorney, Jennifer Ator of Tannebaum Weiss, LLP in Miami, Florida explained that her client alleges that he was required, as part of his employment to provide sexual services for Rev. Ike." Ator explained that Mr. Medina recently received a right to sue from the EEOC and is considering filing federal and/or state sexual harassment claims in addition to the assault, battery, and negligent retention claims currently filed in Miami-Dade Circuit Court. The case is pending before Circuit Judge Roberto M. Pineiro.

In an answer to the complaint, defendants respond that the alleged sexual contact never occurred, but even if it did, the corporations would not be liable because it was outside of the scope of his duties.

Ator is also representing Medina in a related action filed in U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida by the churchs insurance company. The case, Guideone Specialty Mutual Insurance Company vs. United Christian Evangelistic Association of Florida, LLC, et al., Case No. 05-21516-Civ-Graham, alleges that because Rev. Ikes alleged actions were sexual, the insurance company is not required to cover any liability to Mr. Medina.
