Hampton, VA and Boo Williams Sportsplex Host 2009 AAU 12 and Under Boys National Championships July 16-23, 2009

This July 16-23, over 120 teams representing more than 20 states will compete in Hampton, Virginia at the Boo Williams Sportsplex during the 2009 AAU 12 and Under Boys Basketball National Championships.

Hampton, Va. (Vocus) July 1, 2009 -- This July 16-23, over 120 teams representing more than 20 states will compete in Hampton, Virginia at the Boo Williams Sportsplex (http://www.boowilliamssportsplex.com) during the 2009 AAU 12 and Under Boys Basketball National Championships. Showcasing some of the hottest young talent in the country, this tournament is a must for any hoops fan hoping to catch a glimpse of the next Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, or Dwight Howard.

This year, the championships are expected to draw participants from over 20 states, including California, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Wisconsin, and West Virginia, among others.

**The first games begin on July 17. The final rounds (championships) will take place on Thursday, July 23 (9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) at the Boo Williams Sportsplex. The tournament winner will be crowned at the Sportsplex as well**

The Opening Ceremonies, one of the most anticipated activities of the tournament, will take place at Hampton University Convocation Center (700 Emancipation Drive) at 6:00 p.m. on July 16.

Admission Charges for this year's 2009 AAU 12 and Under Boys National Championships are as follows:

Weekly Pass: Free

Daily Pass: Free

Youth Pass

Age: 6-14

Weekly Pass: $30

Daily Pass: $8

Adult Pass

Age: 15 & Over

Weekly Pass: $40

Daily Pass: $10

**Tickets may be purchased on-site at each game or at the opening ceremonies on July 16.
