StoryRock Announces US Military Contract StoryRock becomes only approved government contractor in the digital yearbook category Salt Lake City, Utah -- (Newswire.net via PRWeb) July 11, 2005 StoryRock, Inc. and the 96th RRC based at Fort Douglas, Utah have completed an official contract for the production and distribution of virtual" military yearbooks to capture the Leadership, Legacy, and Life" of US Troops. The interactive CD-ROM is being positioned as part of the Militarys Wellness Program" to increase pride within the troops, and as a tool to help meet recruiting and retention objectives.
With approval from Major General Peter Cooke, and Colonel Adele O. Connell, Strategic Communications Officer of the 96th RRC at Fort Douglas, StoryRock will work in conjunction with each of the 60+ units located in six states to create a customized and interactive CD-ROM for each Soldier as a record of their unit using video, photographs, audio, text and graphics.
Using our software, each units historian can easily create their yearbook" while in the field," explains StoryRock Founder and CEO John Lund. Those finished projects are then sent to us via the Internet just before troops return home so we can finalize all production and have them ready for distribution the minute they arrive home. The interactive CD-ROM is an opportunity for the military to continually highlight the importance of each soldiers commitment and tradition."
StoryRock will deliver its first Military virtual yearbooks to the 96th RRC by July 2005.
StoryRock, Inc. is the leading provider of multimedia digital yearbooks, and is a privately held Utah company since 1999. StoryRock has been a partner with worldwide print yearbook leader Jostens since 2001.
