Alta Loma, CA (PRWEB) July 5, 2009 -- July 4th this year marks not only the 233rd anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence but the founding of a new grassroots organization. A local non-partisan group in Southern California has embarked upon a grass roots campaign to reshape America using the views and wisdom of our founding fathers as their guiding principals. The Sovereign State's intention is to combine forces with like-minded individuals and peaceful community groups across the nation to work together to affect positive legislative and policy change.

This grassroots effort focuses on returning government to the role that our founding fathers had intended government to play when the Constitution was written. By networking on the local level and on the national level, The Sovereign State intends on working not only to reshape national policies, but also policies that affect local communities across the nation.

TheSovereignState.com was formed as a grass roots, non partisan organization. Their stated goal is "the protection of our U.S. Constitution and returning the country to the Republic that was so bravely created by our founding fathers."

Thomas A. Hall, founder of TheSovereignState.com states "our current two party system does not effectively resonate with most of modern America today." Americans have seized the recent opportunity of April 15 with symbolic tea parties, and are deciding enough is enough; "No taxation without representation". Also noteworthy are the recent movements to assert state sovereignty. More than ten states have filed bills or resolutions asserting state sovereignty under the 10th Amendment including Montana, Utah, and Texas, according to the Tenth Amendment Center.
