S.C.O.T. Ltd., Scotland Christian Outreach Teams

SCOT is a non-profit organization that sends short-term missionaries to Scotland to conduct a variety of activities, including, but not limited to conducting VBS, work projects, Christ-centered sport activities and Drama/Praise & Worship Teams.

(PRWEB) July 15, 2005 -- Scotland Christian Outreach Teams involves citizens of two nations only: Scotland, UK and the USA. S.C.O.T. is a non-profit missionary sending organization (501.c.3), incorporated, and recognized by the IRS so donors may have gifts tax deductible. Most of our short-term missionaries raise their own funds and prayer support rather than use vacation funds. Fund raising blesses the missionary as well as the recruited donors.

Instruction and preparation for all missionaries will be done by emails and internet links to our extensive downloadable and printable directives designed just for our own SCOT, Ltd. short-term missionaries and their leaders and team-mates. We develop teams from individuals or groups. We link our mates with their mates, becoming acquaintances long before departures.

Scotland principals permit our teams to do assemblies for their students on school time for VBS...Our favorite building project is reconstructing a 400 year old farm into a free Christian residence near Edinburgh...We will also introduce our new evangelism format of hiking the Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness. We send existing church worship teams to co-op host churches prior to our teams' arrival. These are but a few basic ideas of what we do. Tell us your dream!

Let us put you in touch with our missionaries, captains, leaders, pastors, board members, and many Scottish folk who have strong and positive impressions of SCOT, Ltd. and its Kingdom work. We will supply email addresses from our extensive network of involved christians who have served with us. Application deadlines are firm, as are payment schedules. All of our nine day, seven night trips cost from $ 450 to $550 per person (airfare excluded) and basically includes: 2 meal per day, van transportation, accommodations, and training materials.

After seven years of sending Americans to Bonnie Scotland, we will, in 2006 for the first time, have Scottish folk coming to the USA to do similar short-term missions work as modeled by former USA missionaries. From Scotland to the USA!!! Our normal plan now works in reverse. America and Scotland need equal help in accomplishing the bible's Great Commission since both agree that "Salvation is by Grace Alone, through Faith Alone, in Christ Alone."

As Americans and Scots go forward together, the proclamation of the Gospel also goes forward with the resulting expansion of the Kingdom of God.
