New Teen Drama Series, Love Pop Trash, Selects Web TV Network KoldCast TV for Distribution

Hormones, ambition, and mischief collide…just another day at the mall.

Los Angeles, CA (Vocus) July 7, 2009 -- All Day Everyday, the young company behind the edgy teen drama series Love Pop Trash (http://www.koldcast.tv/video/love_pop_trash_ep_1), has launched its first five episodes on Web TV Network, KoldCast TV.

Through a series of intertwined vignettes, director/producer Saul Levitz introduces us to the world of Love Pop Trash - a world populated by mischievous teenagers and unfulfilled adults whose lives intersect at The Mall. A mix of professional and untrained actors breathes life into the ensemble cast that appears throughout the episodes. The plot lines capture some unusually realistic snapshots that represent today's teenagers and the world they live in. And there's no holding back on the subject matter covered by Levitz: paint huffing, sexuality, shoplifting, and violent video game fantasy are all explored.

Levitz, a proud fan of teen television dramas including 90210, My So Called Life, and the entire Degrassi series, professionally colors Love Pop Trash with a strong dose of edgy realism. He brought aboard cinematographer Hisham Abed, who created the look for MTV reality mainstays Laguna Beach and The Hills, to help blur the lines between the production values of network television with the no-boundary attitude of online content. According to David S. Samuels, CEO of KoldCast TV, "The show is rapidly gaining a healthy audience on our Network as a result, and we are absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce it to our growing audience."

Producers Levitz, Ingrid Crowe Levy (who also co-writes the series with Levitz) and Ben Duhl selected KoldCast TV as their distribution platform of choice. After testing the waters with a few social networking profiles and releasing their show on YouTube, they realized they needed a distribution partner that operates more like a Network with a built-in audience and marketing muscle to really introduce the show in a serious way. "We chose KoldCast for a variety of good reasons; their well-organized launch plan, plethora of value-added services, and the fact that they guarantee discoverability for our show. Who else does that? No one. There may be a wide number of available so-called distribution platforms out there, but only KoldCast TV operates as a Network. It's like working with one of the majors, except KoldCast gets it," said Levitz.

Season 1 of Love Pop Trash was partially funded by production company, All Day Everyday Productions, as well as by a crafty deal with Getty Images.
