CCM Inflatables Announces Inflatable Tents for Disasters and Large Events

Tents are very light weight, compact, and easy for two to deploy.

Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) July 11, 2009 -- CCM Inflatables, a Denver company that specializes in many types of inflatable structures, today announced a new line of tents for large events, disasters and medical emergencies. The tents are each 20' by 30' and are made of the same type of lightweight fabric used in airplane and space shuttle evacuation slides. The tents are made with connecting hallways so that many tents can be easily laid out and inflated to create a medical compound. Tents are stored in very small, vacuum deflated packages for ease of storage and deployment. They are inflated in under 5 minutes with simple fans. Once inflated, the tents are very stiff, strong and resilient.

"There are many features on these tents that were designed for a great range of medical conditions in the military," said Chris Pearson, President of CCM. "They have an inner and outer wall to created a trapped airspace for insulation against heat and cold. They also have three easily removable window coverings on each window. One cover for privacy, one for keeping out the weather and a screen for air movement. This adds to the insulation effect in extreme conditions."

They come with a built in front tarp to create a porch shelter outside of the door. The material and construction will withstand weather in Africa, Asia and Alaska.

The tents can be assembled into groups using secure Velcro strips. Hallways allow each tent to be separated from the others for privacy and noise attenuation.

"The tents are really easy and simple to assemble," said Pearson. "Simply roll each one out on the ground and apply the fan. In a few minutes the tent is standing and ready for use. When you are done with the tents, you simply open the valves and they collapse. Fold and replace in packages."

Most of the tents are equipped with attachments for portable air conditioning and heating modules and air distribution systems. Bio Filters can also be attached. All of this equipment is available on special order from CCM.

"While our standard size is 20' x30'," said Pearson, "we can make them in any size specified by a customer for their needs. We have found that our standard size fits the needs of mobile medical facilities to have beds for treatment and recovery as well as mobile emergency room settings for surgery and diagnosis."
