Wooden Wedding Rings Prove Traditionalists and Critics Wrong

Sales of 200 unique wooden wedding bands proves the viability of more environmentally sustainable jewellery.

(PRWEB) July 20, 2005 -- A unique product made from within a Forest in the United Kingdom has confounded sceptics. It was claimed there was no market for wooden wedding rings: yet these handmade rings have been selling steadily throughout Europe and the USA.

Perry Bond, the designer of these rings stated "My detractors suggested the rings would only be bought by the fringe 'tree hugging' fraternity, but I have found no common denominator in the demographics."

The rings are made by bonding three thin strips of different woods together to give a striking effect, then turned with incredible accuracy.

Perry Bond continued "Some rings are bought by people with an environmental interest, others by anyone with a severe metal allergy, a few by customers who just rebel against the featureless gold band." The rings can currently only be bought online at http://www.woodenrings.co.uk and are only made using Hardwoods from the UK.
