Steve Dahl When You Want Him: Radio Host to Launch Daily Podcast

Award-winning Chicago radio host partners with CBS Radio Chicago to launch daily podcast. STEVE DAHL WHEN YOU WANT HIM.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 12, 2009 -- Chicago legend and more than 30 year radio veteran, Steve Dahl, is pulling up behind the microphone once again beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Dahl and CBS RADIO today announced the broadcasting icon will launch a one hour daily podcast which will be available on-demand to fans through www.iknowjack.com, www.dahl.com and via iTunes. The podcast will feature Dahl's 'every guy' take on life, and incorporate many of his friends and former guests.

Dahl previously hosted his self-titled morning show on CBS RADIO's WJMK-FM from 2007-2008. Prior to that, he was the long-time anchor of morning drive at WCKG-FM before that station changed to a music format.

"It's been fun taking some time off, but there are issues that cry out for some sort of comedic reckoning," quipped Dahl, 54. "Podcasting is something I've been doing for years and I enjoy the flexibility it gives our fans and foes to experience the show at their own convenience. It's like having your favorite radio show on a DVR with a REALLY long extension cord."

"In the months since Dahl has been off the air, we've heard from listeners across the country who miss his daily commentary and one of a kind insight," said Rod Zimmerman, Senior and Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Chicago. "We're excited to move forward with this partnership satisfying legions of Dahl fans while at the same time creating an entirely new opportunity for CBS RADIO and digital marketers to work with the original founding father of talk radio."
