Local Company Takes Its Community Service Program Nationwide

Henry Bockman, president of Henry's Housework, started a local community service program in the Germantown area in 2001. This program has continued to expand each year helping charities, communities and others in need. In 2003, Bockman approached the Directors of the PWNA with the idea of taking his community program to a national level. Members of the PWNA took this program to heart and named the program as it's national charity event and named it Clean Across America. Now power washing companies all over the nation donate their companies' services each year. This year the group is attempting to donate $250,000 in services to various communities around the country.

This year the group is attempting to donate $250,000 in services to various communities around the country.

This year Henry's Housework was contacted by the Mayor of the city of Hyattsville to clean the recreation building at Magruder Park, the City hall building and other areas to remove accumulated dirt, mold and mildew on July 25, 2005. After the Recreation building is cleaned, the City's Teen Club has volunteered to paint the building as one of their community service projects. This building is utilized year round, it houses the Pre-school Program, Teen Club, is the host site for Summer Playground Programs as well as home to the Hyattsville, Mt. Rainer & Brentwood Boys & Girls Club.

On July 26, 2005, Henry's Housework will be cleaning the walkways and Gazebos at the McCrillis Gardens and Gallery at 6910 Greentree Road in Bethesda, MD. to remove accumulated dirt, mold and mildew.

Then, on July 28, 2005 Henry's Housework and Power washing contractors from all over America will converge on the Abner Doubleday field in Cooperstown, New York, to power wash the historic 195,000 square foot complex as part of the Power Washers of North America's Clean Across America Campaign.

The Doubleday Field stadium and complex will be power washed three days before the Baseball Hall of Fame's induction ceremony. This project is being coordinated by Mathew Johnson of Pressure Washing Services in Milford, NY, who has worked closely with Henry Bockman to plan this event.

The group has assembled a team of contractors and distributors to help clean up any accumulated dirt and grime, mold, mildew from the grandstand, dugouts, along with several thousand square feet of concrete and several thousand linear feet of bleachers.

This project will be a huge success through a collective team effort of all involved, supporters are encouraged to come out and see the amazing difference this team of contractors will make at this historic site. This nationwide effort will be a true inspiration for everyone and help preserve one of our nations greatest pastimes - baseball.
