(PRWEB) July 28, 2005 -- In the spirit of last years VOTE OR DIE" movement, youth lifestyle marketing company GenerationNAIJA has unveiled I AM THE FUTURE!", a campaign empowering African youth to become concerned and proactive for the continents future.

Its main mission is to dispel the stereotypical 'Dark Continent stigma attached to Africans, particularly Nigerians," said president, Nnamdi Nwoke. We are calling out all of the young, African celebrities like Djimon Hounsou, Emeka Okafor, Godfrey Danchima, Freddie Adu, Sophie Okonedo, Oluchi Onweagba, and others to help our cause...great efforts need great participation. [We want to spark youth involvement with a campaign that is fresh, sexy, relevant, and cool to develop a younger, louder voice for advancing Africa."

Despite being relatively new, the campaign is rapidly catching eyes and gaining attention. Posters and promotional t-shirts that were distributed as part of the guerilla campaign are especially popular. We've successfully influenced and recruited youth, both African and African-American, to our cause," said Nwoke. The entire country will get a chance to see I AM THE FUTURE!" in action. The I AM THE FUTURE!" staff will hit New York City on October 1st and plans to spread to Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, and other major US cities to promote the campaign.

The movement aims to change the way people view Africa. Young Africans are joining the movement to show that Africa will prosper," Nwoke said, because they are the future of Africa."
