Public Broadcasting Channel THIRTEEN/WNET Executive Joins Carl Bloom Associates, Inc.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.(PRWEB) July 28, 2005 -- Direct-response marketing agency Carl Bloom Associates, Inc. (CBA) has announced that George Whelan is joining the firm as Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, effective August 11, 2005.
Mr. Whelan, a resident of Bloomfield, NJ, joins CBA from his previous post as Deputy Director of Membership at THIRTEEN/WNET. Prior to THIRTEEN, he was Director of Annual Giving at Pace University, where he created and implemented the annual fundraising program for alumni, parents, and faculty.
He is the recipient of several PBS Special Achievement awards and was awarded the 2001 "Outstanding Achievement in Direct Marketing Award" by the Direct Marketing Association of Washington, D.C. He is the author of the article "Money in the Middle" featured in the April 15, 2004 Chronicle of Philanthropy.
