Voxeo Announces Sixth Consecutive Profitable Quarter

Record Quarter Caps 18 Straight Months of Profitability

NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) August 1, 2005 -- Voxeo Corporation, the leading provider of standards-based Interactive Voice Response (IVR) platforms and hosting, announced at SpeechTEK 2005 today that it has closed its 18th consecutive profitable month of operations, making Q2 2005 its sixth consecutive profitable quarter.

Q2 2005 was also the company's most profitable quarter ever, with significant growth over Q1 2005, including:

* 35.5 percent increase in revenue

* 174 percent increase in net profits

* 17 percent increase in its customer base

* 399 percent increase in customer-premise IVR sales

"Voxeo is uniquely focused in the speech and IVR market," said Jonathan Taylor, Voxeo's CEO. "By offering both hosted and premise IVR platforms, and by partnering with - instead of competing with - voice application development and professional services firms, Voxeo continues to rapidly expand its IVR market share. We look forward to continuing our mutual and profitable growth with our application, channel, and OEM partners."

By policy, Voxeo does not disclose the names of its enterprise customers. However, since January 1, 2005, Voxeo has seen its customer base grow by a total of 38 percent. Newly acquired customers in 2005 include:

* The U.S. Department of Homeland Security

* Two of the world's largest international media companies

* One of the largest cable TV operators in the United States

* One of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies

* One of the top 5 members of the Fortune 500

* One of the world's largest IVR service providers

Voxeo's recent growth also continues to outpace industry predictions. For example, Datamonitor recently forecast a 19% compound annual growth rate for speech-enabled IVR platforms in the NA and EMEA markets through 2009. Thus far in 2005, Voxeo is on track to deliver a compound annual growth rate of over 200 percent.

"Voxeo has proven to be a strong player in the US hosted speech services market," said Daniel Hong, Senior Voice Business Analyst at Datamonitor. Its expertise in CCXML, as well as its flexible deployment models and 100 percent uptime guarantee clearly differentiate Voxeo from other hosted speech providers in the market. The company is positioned for strong growth through the next several years."

Voxeo's strong 2005 performance follows an employee-and-management-led buyout, concluded on September 30, 2004. The new company has been able to leverage its combination of employee-ownership and profitable operations to win an increasing number of enterprise IVR opportunities.
