Druid Alphabet as Old as the Trees

The new book, "The Ogham And The Truth Of The Trees" explores the ancient Druid Tree Alphabet, and brings all of us back to our roots! Author's Dean montalbano and Suzanne LaCour along with artist, Sandy Starr, team up to bring a book that is as beautiful as it is fascinating.

(PRWEB) July 30, 2005 -- Ten years ago Dean Montalbano and Suzanne La Cour sat down and started talking about strange markings on little wooden tiles. To an onlooker it might have been a bizarre scrabble set, and that's not too far from the truth. The little wooden tiles each bare a "letter" from the Druid Tree alphabet, called Ogham (pronounced Oh-Um).

Granted, few others would invest so much time or so many years in something like this. Dean, a hypnotist in Orlando, and Suzanne a Wiccan and founder of various spiritual groups, are always ready to sink their teeth into a new subject.

Both of them had an interest in the ancient Celts, and both of them were attracted to the Ogham. What started as full day long discussions and debates, turned into a fascinating beautiful book that places this ancient and misunderstood topic in terms we can ALL understand.

Each character resembles a few scratches or "slash marks" against a verticle line. Each character represents a tree or plant sacred to the ancient Celts- as well as a sound or letter from their alphabet. Each tree also is associated with various spiritual, archetypal and psychological meanings. As such, the Ogham then becomes a system to be used for spiritual growth, divination, pathworking and more. Did this alphabet blong to the Druids? "Well, we don;t know for SURE." say the author's "We weren't alive then."

But, they do have some ideas, and they share those, their research and their basis FOR those ideas in those book.

If you are in to the idea of new age wisdom, studying various spiritual paths, or just enjoy nature and the trees- this book is bound to have something you will enjoy LEAFING through!
