Nationwide CREW Network to Gather in Austin in 2006

CREW Austin, the Austin-based chapter of CREW Network, the professional association dedicated to advancing the success of women in commercial real estate, today announced Austin has been selected to host the 2006 Winter Council of Delegates Meeting, to be held February 2-3, 2006 at the Four Seasons Hotel.

(PRWEB) August 2, 2005 -- CREW Austin, the Austin-based chapter of CREW Network, the professional association dedicated to advancing the success of women in commercial real estate, today announced Austin has been selected to host the 2006 Winter Council of Delegates Meeting, to be held February 2-3, 2006 at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The 2006 Winter Council of Delegates Meeting is expected to draw nearly 150 leading commercial real estate professionals from across the nation.

"We are very excited and honored to have Austin host the Winter Meeting," said Jane Smith, president of CREW Austin and a partner at the Fulbright & Jaworski law firm. "This is the first time Austin has been selected as a host site."

"Our city was picked because of the robust and growing community of high-level professionals in commercial real estate, and the enthusiasm and rapid growth of the Austin Chapter," she said. "And -- of course -- as every Austinite already knows, our many amenities and activities for visitors didnt hurt either."

The Winter Meeting is one of three CREW Network Council of Delegates meetings held each year. The meetings gather CREW leadership, delegates and members from across the country for leadership training and other business matters.

"This forum also provides our Austin members with the unique opportunity to network and build relationships with the visitors," Smith said.

Each year numerous interested CREW Chapters submit an application to be considered as a potential host of one of the three meetings. Decisions are made based on availability of suitable accommodations, leisure activities, attractions and the dynamics of the local chapters. CREW Network is comprised of 57 chapters in North America.

"Founded in 2003, were a young chapter that has gotten off to a fantastic start. Holding the meeting in Austin will add to our momentum and contribute to the vision of our local chapter," Rhonda J.
