In June 2005, Paul Turner, white wig and all, starred in a production of "Die Fledermaus" with Chaminade Opera Group at Wheaton College. He was Eisenstein, who tricked by his college friend, seduces his wife at a masked ball.
Paul sings at Boston area nightclubs, such as Encore Piano Lounge (across from the Wang Center), Frank's Steakhouse in Cambridge, and Kennedy's Midtown in the financial district.
Paul lives by the words of a recently published poem: "I sing because it gives my life verbs and verses." His poems have appeared in Meridian Anthology of Contemporary Poetry, Nomad's Choir, Parnassus Literary Journal, and soon in Poetry Motel.
A Drama major and graduate of Manhattan's School of Performing Arts, Paul thinks that opera is the great blend of singing and acting, and that good cabaret shares top billing with the best of the classic soliloquies. He is Mr. Respiratory in the Prentice Hall Real Nursing Skills series, available on the web.
