Gomez-Duplessis has given back to the city of New Orleans by donating her services for a variety of charities and being a role model for young adults. (PRWEB) August 9, 2005 -- On August 5, 2005 Celebrity Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis originally from New York was Proclaimed to the City of New Orleans at her 1 Year Makeup Studio Anniversary Bash for her outstanding work. Mayor C. Ray Nagin of New Orleans wanted to show Gomez-Duplessis that her talent has not gone unnoticed as well as her quality work she shows on his set for his TV show called "One New Orleans." Gomez-Duplessis provides makeup to the Mayor as well as his host Tami Frazier and special guests such as Entertainer Earl Turner, Jazz Artist Irvin Mayfield, Artist John Scott and many more. Gomez-Duplessis has also been asked to join the Mayor's Women Conference Committee Board since so many women in New Orleans consider her a role model not just for young females but for females of all ages and race.
Gomez-Duplessis has a regular clientele of 503 women that has made her a household name in the city of New Orleans. Just recently she worked with Editorial Director Susan Taylor of Essence Magazine and Professor Dr. Cornel West. Whenever any artist or actress comes to New Orleans Gomez-Duplessis is first on the list to be hired to work any assignment. Gomez-Duplessis was also the makeup artist that worked with the former Mayor of New Orleans, Marc Morial and his wife news reporter Michelle Miller for their fairy tale wedding.
She also has a 1,200 sq ft posh studio where she offers her popular services; brow shaping, lash extensions, and makeup applications. You can also buy retail items and her private makeup line called BGD Collection". On Friday night Gomez-Duplessis offer a fun girls night at her studio call Makeup & Martini" which has become a hot spot in New Orleans not just for locals but also for tourist that come to New Orleans for conventions. "Makeup & Martini" is only for females over 21 who want to shop, get services and hangout after hours with their girlfriends.
Gomez-Duplessis says she would love to become a household name nationwide like her former boss P. Diddy. I feel like a brand sometimes, maybe I should get my right hand insured just in case something happens to it.
