What Do ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression & Schizophrenia Have in Common?

‘Glad you asked….. Well they and many more mental disorders including aggressive and/or violent behaviours may all be due to imbalances in brain chemistry. In many cases these disorders can be diagnosed and rectified by nutrition and supplementation thus reducing (and in some cases replacing) the requirement for psychotropic medication, which means adverse side effects from prescription medication can be reduced.

In early 2003 SAFE Analytical Laboratories was approached to set up a method for measuring Kryptopyrrole concentrations in urine of patients suffering from various mental disorders. The urinary kryptopyrrole test now forms part of an array of tests used by doctors for the diagnosis of behavioural disorders from samples of blood, hair, & urine in accordance with the Pfeiffer Treatment Centre Protocol*.

Dr Richard Stuckey of the Border Medical Clinic (Coolangatta) was the first general practitioner in Australia to use this service, and initially began treating a small select group of patients with appropriate symptoms. The success of the initial trial was so promising that in April 2005, a further 8 doctors from Sydney, Adelaide, and New Zealand were trained in the use of this protocol.

SAFE Analytical Laboratories Pty Ltd. was opened in 2000 to specifically perform hair analysis (40 essential, non-essential, & toxic elements), and has since expanded to offer water testing as well as soil (nutrition) and plant tissue mineral testing, and more recently urine testing. There is a variety of analytical equipment available including Inductively Coupled Plasma AES, UV-Visible-NIR, Selective Ion electrodes, Gas Chromatography, and High Performance Liquid Chromatography equipment. We can test according to requirement and with this we offer a custom analytical consultation service.
