Rockview Records Announces Official Launch

Indie-label debuts with releases from Foghat, Blue Cheer, J-Henry and Sean Chambers

Los Angeles (PRWEB) August 17, 2005 --- Music industry veteran Jeff Grabow announces today the formation of Rockview Records. The Beverly Hills-based label is nationally distributed through Fontana/Universal.

With approximately 20 annual releases scheduled, Rockviews focus is on offering CD and DVD releases from established acts that spend up to half the year on the road. A key part of the marketing pie, the label plans to leverage their acts heavy touring schedules with a mix of traditional and non-traditional marketing efforts including micro-marketing to specific regions and cities. In addition to well-known acts, the label will also support up-and-coming artists on a more limited basis.

Rockviews roster currently includes long-time fan favorites and touring dynamos, Foghat and Blue Cheer, as well as up-and-coming artists, J-Henry and Sean Chambers. Releases coinciding with the label launch include Foghat DVD Official Bootleg #1 (2002 -- 2004), Blue Cheer Live Bootleg (London-Hamburg), Sean Chambers Humble Spirits, and J-Henry Another Long Day. Additional releases are forthcoming from Ten Years After, Colin John, Scott Holt, Stereocell, and Michael Shapiro.

About the Management

Jeff Grabow -- President and CEO

As President and CEO, Jeff Grabow brings over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing culled from industry giants WEA and Virgin as well as indies, Restless Records and ARTISTdirect. He began his career as a merchandiser and Single Specialist in the New York metropolitan area. He moved on to WEA and, later, Virgin Records where he designed marketing strategies and campaigns that helped drive sales for such releases at WEA as Princes Purple Rain OST, Guns n Roses Appetite for Destruction, and metal-superstars, Metallica, as well as releases from Virgin artists, Lenny Kravitz, and Janet Jackson. All artists went on to achieve multi-platinum status.

Sandra Chi -- VP of Operations

Sandra Chi oversees marketing and promotions and manages day-to-day activities as VP of Marketing and Operations. Her career highlights include a key role at Polydor/A&M in helping Tonics Lemon Parade reach Platinum status and at Restless Records pushing Warren Gs I Want it All to Gold status.

Barry ONeil -- Director of Sales

Director of Sales, Barry ONeil, comes from a 19-year career at Motown and Casablanca Records where he helped push Boys II Men, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, and Donna Summer to mega-stardom.
