Biblio.com Breaks Through in the Textbook Market

Biblio.com, one of the world's largest suppliers of used, rare, and out-of-print books is feeling the back-to-school crunch. Biblio.com is a multi-vendor web-site that lists millions of textbooks for sale from specialty booksellers, and textbook wholesalers throughout the world.

(PRWEB) August 19, 2005 -- Textbooks have proven themselves to be a viable product on our site," says Kevin Donaldson, Director of Sales and Marketing for Biblio.com. Whether they are new or used, we have seen a huge spike in sales around the back-to-school time. Early indications are that price and rapid delivery are the biggest motivators for students purchasing online. Our Booksellers are offering some textbooks at up to 50% off the college bookstore sale price, and for students on a budget this can make a big difference."

Biblio.com is making changes to accommodate the student shopper" by adding features such as their Textbook Warehouse, and an interesting feature that allows students to search multiple ISBN numbers of the titles they are required to purchase for classes, and search for them all at once.

ISBN is a better way to search for these textbooks namely because all new textbooks have this unique identifier, and this is going to help make sure a student finds the correct edition and support materials for the book," says Donaldson.

Biblio.com expects to see the textbook market continue to grow with the strongest periods being in the months just prior to school starting back, when students have received their textbook requirements for scheduled classes.
