Fantasy Is More Than Just Kid Stuff; This Is Not Your Childrens Harry Potter Author Trish Reynolds and Dubsar House Publishing are pleased to announce the September 2005 release of Seekers Quest Book I: The Witch of Dragon Swan. This is a breathtaking new series from the author of the acclaimed series, The Doctor and the Witch. There is a tendency today to think of the fantasy genre as kid stuff. Trish Reynolds blows that theory out of the water with the spectacular Seekers Quest series. (PRWEB) August 22, 2005 -- The Witch of Dragon Swan takes the reader on a wild ride filled with evil, love, adventure, sex and romance. Reynolds has created a multi-layered universe and draws the reader in with the seamless skill of a master story teller. The pages are populated with all manner of creatures, both magical and mundane and the plots are thick with intrigue. Not all ends 'happily ever after in this grand re-telling of the heros tale. But this time the guys arent the only ones doing the rescuing.
The quest for answers begins with a dream.
There havent been any dragons in Pretava for generations. Most people assume they died out long ago. Some even say they were merely creatures of myth to begin with, no more than cradle tales told to amuse the children.
But not everyone believes that the dragons have deserted Pretava. Some say they still exist somewhere just out of knowing. The Krys witch Laural believes that somehow her fate is bound up in the dragons disappearance. The answers are trapped within her mind and concealed in the forbidden history of her people and her own unresolved past. Only one person survives from those days, the mysterious Zyalia, Old One of Ryndolt Forest. Laurals quest leads her and her beloved Mykal into terrible danger, but before she will consider marriage she must first solve the riddle of the dreams.
Something terrible happened in the Before Time, and those in authority have done everything possible to see that no one will ever remember it. The young witch feels the dragons calling to her in her mind. Dreams of winged serpents invade her sleep until she is nearly driven to distraction. Laural is certain of only one thing; that unless she learns what caused the dragons of Pretava to vanish, the same fate awaits the people of Dragon Swan.
Immerse yourself in this extraordinary tale of courage, sacrifice and love in this first book of The Seekers Quest trilogy. Book II: The Demons of Drey and Book II: The Dragons Legacy are being readied for release later this year. This is grown up fantasy for the 21st Century. After all, why should the kids have all the fun?
Trish Reynolds is the author of a highly acclaimed series of Paranormal Romances which were presented at The London Book Fair in March of 2005.
"I was very into Tolkien growing up," Reynolds explains, but I really missed the presence of a strong female character. I wrote this epic fantasy with the idea of an ancient and mysterious woman being the wise-one, a sort of 'female Gandalf'."
Reynolds is a working journalist and editor of a local weekly newspaper in her home town of Mount Olive. In her spare time she travels the world researching local legends and preserving them. Reynolds was a frequent contributor to New Moon Rising magazine for the 12 years it was in print, and has been published in numerous periodicals world wide. She has held many jobs in her life and earned various titles, but with a grown son and a 6 year old grandson she enjoys her favorite title, Nana the best. Ms Reynolds shares her home on Budd Lake with her two cats Sam Hain and Embers. She returns frequently to Devonshire, England, her hearts home.
