Sparks Exhibits & Environments Creates A Museum-Like Experience for Two Rolex Events Rolex USA celebrates automobile racing history at Laguna Seca and Lime Rock Park. PHILADELPHIA, PA (PRWEB) August 28, 2005 -- Sparks Exhibits & Environments, a leading experiential marketing company and provider of custom environments, is proud to announce its involvement with Rolex USA at the 32nd annual Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races at Laguna Seca and the Rolex Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Park.
Prominent at both of these high-class events is the Rolex "Moments in Time" exhibit designed by Sparks for the fifth straight year. This museum-like 80 x 100 tent hosts a number of historic automobiles, some of which are considered the most significant race cars in history. Each year hundreds of the finest historic sports and racing cars, spanning nearly every era of motor sports history, enter into races where thousands of visitors from around the world gather to watch the thrilling events as well as have complete access to the cars, drivers, owners and crews.
This year at the Monterey Historic at Laguna Seca Jim Halls 1961 Chaparral will be the featured marquee, leading a tribute to the "Great American Specials." A few of the other cars in the lineup include a 1959 Aston Martin, a 1954 Troutman Barnes Special and a 1960 Maserati T-61.
"These events pay tribute to motor racing history, historic automobiles and the people who made them" explained Colette Cutrone, National Sports Marketing Manager for Rolex USA. "Sparks Exhibits & Environments has created a museum quality feeling where visitors can truly experience the history and heritage of these fine cars."
This year the Rolex Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Park will also feature a diverse field of vintage automobiles spanning eight decades. Automotive industry legend Carroll Shelby will be honored in conjunction with the Aston Martin as the featured marquee and a special class of extraordinary BMWs which will be on hand in the pit lane along with racing classes for Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Austin Healy, Woodies and motorcycles.
"In addition to the incredible automobiles on display the exhibit also features amazing graphics that depict the history of the cars and their drivers," said Karolyn Chebookjian, Vice President of Strategic Accounts at Sparks. "This dramatic combination creates an unforgettable experience for any racing fan. We are very excited about working with Rolex USA on these events."
